![]() ![]() ![]() Note: This is the 'old' version of Metro 2033 (original). I got it November 2014 (I think Last Light came out a couple months earlier). This time, however, things are a little different – most negative reviews reference Epic Games directly, and there’s even a ASCII image going round of two middle fingers flanking the words “Epic Store.” My personal favourite is a comment praising almost every aspect of the game in question, before admitting that the negative review is “only because of Epic Store bull****. In fact, it was the original Metro that came out in 2010 so you most likely got your free copy later. Occasionally when scanning through comments on stories like these, the review bombers will pretend that their negative review doesn’t have anything to do with the controversy that the game is attached to. Their recent reviews, however, are a very different picture – both currently sit at ‘mixed’, with approval ratings of 46% and 43%. Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux, the 2014 remakes of the original games, both have ‘very positive’ ratings on Steam, sitting at 89% and 90% positive reviews respectively. In response, two previous games in the Metro series have been subjected to some pretty hefty review-bombing. Earlier this week, Deep Silver and 4A Games announced that Metro Exodus would be releasing on the Epic Games store, delaying its Steam release for a year. ![]()
